Welcome to Parkside Community College. We are proud of our achievements in helping our students to thrive: they are articulate, successful in their studies, and optimistic about the future. We want every student to succeed and as a school we strive for excellence. Our GCSE performance in 2022 places us in the top 30 schools in England for progress. We ask our students, every day, to 'do your best'.
We are always looking to improve what we do; our community, including our partnership with parents, and the real attention we give to the opinions of our students, helps us to remain a leading school in Cambridge and beyond. We ask all of our students to 'play their part' in making Parkside a great place to learn and to grow.
Parkside is an outstanding school for 800 students aged 11-19, situated in the centre of Cambridge, beside Parker’s Piece. As an International Baccalaureate World School we place a great emphasis on our value of responsibility, on good citizenship and ethical decision-making in all years, culminating in the Diploma programme for the sixth form. In whatever they do, Parkside students are taught and encouraged to 'be considerate'.
Examination results are consistently high, but this is only part of the story. We want every student to experience learning which brings out the very best of themselves. We are very proud to have again been judged 'Outstanding' by Ofsted in April 2023.
